What is ADSL hard capped?
Hard capped means that if the amount of data purchased is used, the connection will stop working.
In order to continue using the Internet before the beginning of the next month, a new connection will have to be purchased. Please be aware that the products are billed at the full amount, in other words pro-rata billing does not apply for this connection type.
The amount of used data on the connection is reset to zero at the beginning of each calendar month.
This is an unshaped service which means that the available bandwidth is shared equally amongst protocols being used. Unshaped access may be advantageous for specialized applications such as Forex trading, specialised gaming, Virtual Private Networks (VPN’s).
Unlike uncapped products, the speed of these connections are restricted only by your ADSL line speed. In other words the 100 GB capped connection will be faster on a 10 Mbps line than a 4 Mbps line.
