How to setup a Netis-dl4311 Router

This guide will show you how to setup your Netis-dl4311 Router. The basic setup is the same for most ADSL Routers, however may vary slightly for each model.

Step 1:

Obtain your Default Gateway (for more information, see How to obtain your Default Gateway)

Step 2:

Open your Internet Browser, such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, etc...

Step 3:

Enter your Default Gateway in the search bar of your internet Browser as seen below and press Enter.

Step 4:

This will then display a Pop-Up Window to enter your Router Username and Password. The default factory settings for the username is “admin” and password is “admin”.

Step 5:

When you get to this page select Quick Start.

Step 6:

Click on the START button.

Step 7:

There are four steps to configure the device. Click Next to continue.

Step 8:

You will get the following message. Click OK to continue

Step 9:

Configure VPI as 8 and VCI as 35. Click Next.

Step 10:

Please select the PPPoE/PPPoA and click Next.

Step 11:

You will need your connection details (username and password).

This information you will get from you ISP.

Enter your Connection Details in the spaces provided as shown in below image.

Make sure the connection is PPPoE LLC and click Next.

Step 12:

The next step is for your Wi-Fi settings (wireless).

Configure the settings as shown below.

Enter you Wireless Network Name (SSID). E.g. MyHomeNetwork

It is advisable to have a password on your wireless feature. Should you not want a Secure Wireless Setup, select Disabled under Authentication Type and click Next

Else enter the Password you want in the space and click Next.

Step 13:

The setup is now complete.

Please click Next to save the current settings.

Step 14:

Click Close.

Your internet should now be up and running
